Could my RAM cause my games to keep freezing?

I didn't take offence at all. I planned to re-title the thread anyway, and you had a valid point. I just got sidetracked doing other things in the meantime. :)

However, if you wish to stop receiving notifications in this, or any other thread in future, at the top of the page on the right-hand side above the first response is the link "unwatch topic." Clicking that will remove you from all future notifications for the topic in question.

Ok so now I have my computer back together but somehow I lost my modume, goes right beside the RAM. 2 questions first what does it do, 2nd how much would it cost to replace

No idea what you mean by modume?

Can you take a picture and upload it here, or describe what it looks like?

Its the modum, it goes right above the RAM memory cards, its has one screw an plugs into the motherboard, and you cant take out the motherboard unless you take it off. if you want a picture go to the link one of the guys posted about taking out the motherboard, around step 14 I think.

That's the WiFi card. Its held in by two screws, and you lift it 45 degrees then pull it away from the socket to remove it. The two wires connected on the left of it as antenna's, and should be clearly "popped" up to release them.

Are you saying you've lost the entire card whilst stripping down the laptop? Or do you mean something else?

Awesome, thats the answer I was looking for. and thanks also I would like to thank everyone who helped. my computer is running an average of 145-150. which is way better then 185 xD

Thats what im about to check, I uninstalled the game, an a few other things an im in the process of reinstalling. should be able to let you know in the next 20-30 mins

what is a good average temperature that my laptop should run? its averaging about 145-155 an wasnt sure how good or bad that is

That's probably about right for your laptop. You can help temps by using a laptop cooler if you are gaming for extended periods though. Otherwise that should be okay as long as you aren't hitting 70'C or above.

If you cannot find the laptops issue, is there any money to spend on a new laptop? if so you can look into a Lenovo Y580 which has a i7,GTX 660M, and 8gb of ram in it for about 899 to 999.

I run at about 50 degrees celcius at idle and 75 in game during bf3. not that bad for a laptop. I have a i7, ATI mobility 5730 and 4 gb of ram.

Also try checking for disk errors that may be the reason for a freeze up and try memtest also

If I get another computer im just going to get a desktop an talk with a buddy an just build one. put water cooling in it, and all the works, so I wont have to worry about this stuff

It worked good for 2 weeks but it started freezing up again but now my computer screen goes grey an everything disconnects.

Well water cooling isnt the first thing you should go too. I would just get a aftermarket cooler and that will do you fine. watercooling is not necessary at all if you arent oc'ing

I was saying if I built a computer I would go with water cooling. also the game im playing is freezing up again and im sure its not from the dust, maybe from being outside the heat but I have been outside before and didnt have any problems, any sugestions?
