Also get an alternative Browse for cases where IE don't work etc. You would be better to switch to FireFox. I like the portable version. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

Download install and give it a test run. Note the portable version starts up slower but is way faster than IE once up.

Windows 7 is not released yet there are Betas and RC's but not to be installed for actual use yet except for people like myself that can handle the thing that can happen with a new OS. BUT in my tests I feel they have tried to do it right this time I like it. Normally i would advise to wait a year before upgrading but I may drop that back to 3-6 months for Win7. Not an Option you should consider yet!

Hey Mike, I'm playing around with firefox and while i'm surfing i'm getting a rock you ad page that keeps opening. How do I get rid of this? Also firefox doesn't show up in my control panel so how would i uninstill it if i don't like it? I was using firefox before when I was getting all those pages opening while on line but I uninstalled it before I started conversing with you. I like firefox, what is the difference between portable and the one I was using?

Good morning, I also noticed while i'm on line I cannot use my back button. Any suggestions?

If you got the Portable version I recommended then just delete the folder it has no uninstall.

In FireFox go to
Tools-Options-Content and ascertain the the POPUP Blocker is on.

Not sure about the Back button will look into it and get back.

Mike

Make sure the Navigation Toolbar is checked:

Right click on a Toolbar at top of Firefox> click to CHECK 'Navigation Toolbar'.

This restores Back and Forward buttons, Refresh, Stop, Home and some other icons.

IF the Windows is too far over to the left side of the screen, you would miss the Back button, File above it. In that case, hold left mouse button down on top frame of Firefox and move Windows to the right.
