Dazed and confused

did a clean install OS on dell laptop
everything seems OK but when i click on system info it gives me a very brief hour glass then nothing
even tried send to desktop nothing
never had this one before any ideas?

On the one hand, i don't why things shouldn't have installed correctly....

On the other hand try Start->Run, enter msinfo32. Does this also fail? I've seen a few different proposed solutions... Try reinstalling Help and Support center
