Dell has brought a pair of new 24" desktop displays to the US, the UltraSharp U2410 and ST2410. Having already pulled a tour in Japan, the U2410 features a high quality IPS panel, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 6ms response time, 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (1,000:1 static), 178-degree viewing angles, 12-bit internal rendering (1.07 billion colors), its own color calibration, and covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 96% of Adobe RGB. Connectivity includes a DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, VGA, and RCA.

The ST2410 is manufactured with a less-spiffy TN panel and features a resolution of 1920 x 1080, 5ms response time, dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, 250cd/m2 brightness, 160-degree viewing angles, a .277mm pixel pitch, and houses HDMI, DVI, HDCP, and VGA ports. Both displays are available right now, for $599 and $259 respectively.
