Dell Optiplex 760 OS problem

Hi all
I'm having a problem in installing windows on my "dell optiplex 760 desktop".
it gives me a message that bios is not installed & it refuses to start even windows xp after copying the files to the hard desk giving me the usual blue screen.

Any ideas

Replace the CMOS (silver coin battery CR2032) on the motherboard...
