Disabling sound through BIOS

activision tech support tells me that since I have onboard sound, in order to play the new call of duty-world at war I need to disable my sigma tel audio card through the BIOS. I've never done this operation and could use some help.

The method of entering Bios and the area for enabling/disabling motherboard audio would be covered in your motherboard manual.

If you do not have a manual, you need to get one.

You usually get one with the motherboard from either the manufacturer (if a custom-build) or from the computer manufacturer (if a company build).

If you don't have one, you need to specify the above plus details such as model, eg, an Asus P5GD1 or a Compaq Presario xxxx.
