Display Driver Stopped Responding - Error

My card: GeForce GT 520
CPU: AMD Phenom 9550 Quad, RAM:4Gb
Windows 8.1

All of a sudden I started getting this error:

I have already tried rendering smaller parts at a time and still this continues happening.
I also just updated its driver tonight.

My question is: If I were to get a more capable card, would this error go away?

More and likely you are in the same boat my friend is. He has the same card. He had to revert back To the Nivdia driver 314.22 .In order to stop getting this error. If you do decide to revert back do a clean install.

Unfortunately this driver version doesn't work with Win8 So I tried the one released this past Sept. It didn't help though.
At least I have a new card on its way. I should get it by Wed or so.

Sorry to hear that. I have notice though most People who have Geforce 550 on down are having driver issues . Weather It be win8 or 8.1 or win 7. You are most likely better off getting a new . Well good luck and hope all goes well.
