I recently setup my PC with a 4k TV. Everything works very well after some fine tuning with the exception of programs and installers that I believe are java based. I've read up on Java claiming to be dpi aware but isn't, resulting in very small menus and windows. I've largely encountered this with Radeon software (kinda ironic eh?). Below is a screenshot with both AMD software and an installer for RadeonPro, along with this post, to show a comparison. The program is too small to interact with and the installer isn't rendering the "Next" and "Cancel" buttons at the bottom. I've read up on regedit changes to allow dpi scaling but I haven't been successful yet. Any advise for this? I have also tried dropping the resolution down to 1080 and run in various compatibility modes. Nothing has made a difference.
