That form is totally unnecessary as the input form contains {B,U,I} which create the appropriate markup.

99.9% of every website I've seen strips html tags to avoid virus injections - - just deal with it.

Okay step back about a hundred feet. I used the <b></b> tags an example. *eyes rolling into the back of my head as I fall to the floor and begin convulsing*.
