I have a new HP running XP. I've gotten blue screens several times. The last stop message said:

afd.sys - Address A13B1520 base at A13B1000, DateStamp 48a40333

Can anyone tell me what driver this is referring to? One message suggested I run driver verifier or enable special pool to help identify the corrupt driver. I don't know how to do either of these things. Would appreciate any help you can offer.

That is an 0xD1 error (which are predominantely caused by faulty drivers) and it is citing a Windows driver that is too general to be of help.

You should be posting this in the BSOD forum in the Windows OS forums and attach your five latest minidumps.

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip. Please do us a favor and don’t Zip each one individually.
