DVI Card to VGA Monitor

Hello, I have purchased a new(ish) graphics card with a dvi output (HD 3870) only to realise that my LCD monitor only has VGA input will [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cabling4Less-DVI-VGA-HD15-Adaptor/dp/B000FII810/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1236514897&sr=8-1"]this adapter[/ame] allow me to connect the card to the monitor?

Yes, and by the way that connector should have come with your new card
Check the packaging (although newish, may have been the issue there )

It should have came with the card, but if it didn't, you probably still dont' need to buy one. Ask someone who has bought a computer or a video card in the last 3-4 years or go by a shop and ask if they'll give you one. I have about 6 of them lying around just from buying a video card about once every 2 years.
