my cousin crashed his pc and it wouldnt boot anymore he had a friend use a xp disk but his dumb *** couldnt activate it NO SUPPRISE THEIR. anyhow i ordered a restore cd set from emachines i boot from cd it starts doing its thing but when I get to where it says insert next disk I insert it click next and nothing it ejects the disk WHAT THE F%*#K please help THANKS

If there are a number of discs (say 3) perhaps you’re inserting the incorrect disc – just a thought as I don’t know how many restore discs eMachines distributes. As the discs came from eMachines as opposed to Microsoft, I’d suggest getting in touch with eMachines support here: http://www.emachines.com/support/.

Be sure to have your information (serial number, etc.) handy.

Cheers,

MS do not supply "Restore Discs"
Nor should they ever be used for that

Obviously the presently supplied Restore discs are either not correct for your system, or the hardware has changed in such a way that the restore discs do not work (I suspect not correct Restore discs as Disc #1 worked)

Yes contact eMachines support

Also RonS WIN TEAM, I remind you not to quote the previous messge in full (I have already stated this to you)

5. It is not necessary to quote if the person you are responding to you is the last post in the thread. Quotes again aren't necessary if you are replying to the original question (first post) in the thread, if you can only answer one question out of many, quote just that question rather than the whole post.

Did you even read above

Anyway, yes thanks for your help here, it is usually quite good :grinthumb
