My son's laptop became the target of virus and malware. I downloaded MALWAREBYTES and successfully loaded and scanned the system.

However, I am am now unable to access the internet to access the internet through Google Chrome or Explorer. The wireless is active on the machine and is running normally with other devices in the house. We cannot access the internet through a browser.

I was able to uninstall MacAfees, but no improvement. I tried multiple methods to correct, without success.

Can someone help me reconnect the laptop to the internet? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Thank you PAT V

I have the MALWAREBYTES scan log and DDS log/ATTACH log.

**** End of log ****

I can see you're using wireless connection to connect to the internet.
Please get ethernet cable and see if you can use your browsers while hardwired.

I can see you have number of restore points available.
Try to use one or two to see if that solves the issue.

I restored it twice twice without improvement. I went back the oldest available date.

The error is now ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED

Several viruses returned.

I hate virus and malware. What a waste of talent developing this crap.

  • RKreport.txt could also be found on your desktop.
  • If more than one log is produced post all logs.
  • If RogueKiller has been blocked, do not hesitate to try a few times more. If really won't run, rename it to winlogon.exe (or winlogon.com) and try again
