This may be helpful in removing the reg keys
# Click Start → Programs → ESET → Uninstall and then if the uninstallation is successful, proceed directly to step 8 to remove the remaining program files. If the uninstallation is unsuccessful, the remaining ESET components must be removed manually by following steps 2-7.
Warning: Manual removal steps 2-7 below involve modifying critical system files in the Windows Registry. Please proceed only if you are an experienced user:
# Restart your computer. During startup, continually press the F8 key until the Windows Advanced Options Menu is displayed. Select Safe Mode and press ENTER.
# After restarting, click Start → Run, type regedit and click OK.
# Find and delete the following registry keys:
-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESET
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ESET
# Find and delete the following registry value:
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\egui
# Click Start → Control Panel → Folder Options → View tab → select Show hidden files and folders.
Vista Users: click Start → Control Panel → Appearance and Personalization → Folder Options → View tab → Show hidden files and folders.
# Navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\inf folder and delete the INFCACHE.1 file.
# Restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted, delete the system-appropriate folders below:
Windows XP users:
C:\Program Files\ESET
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET
C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\ESET
Windows Vista users:
C:\Program Files\ESET
C:\Program Data\ESET
