Unfortunately I do agree with you on many points, except the part where you talk about "not cutting" benefits/policies". The extreme right did talk about not cutting, but look at what they've actually done. They were adamant on not touching medicaid during the campaign and now they cut it with the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act". And none of the "checks", the free money, were ever sent. And the tariffs are essentially a tax on the poor and lower end middle class, they're the ones that get affected the most by them. The left at least tried with the enacted policies to have a program more closely aligned with their campaign promises. Trump just went wild.

You can 100% fund it with taxes for the rich in the US because of how disproportionate the wealth is distributed.
