External laptop speaker...

Hello, trying to find a louder speaker and having problems with it. Can someone help please?:

I have a Lenovo 17" laptop and need a louder speaker than the built in one. I used to have a 5 watt speaker, good but not loud enough (Logitech Z130) so I thought a 10 watts speaker would be perfect but...I found out from the many websites that's awfully complicated to know how many watts we need. But (I think) I managed to reduce it to this formula per some article I read but I may be over simplifying: "Volts multiplied by Amperes equals Watts". So I figured:

My laptop shows: 20V and 2.25A which multiplied to each other is 45 watts. I don't know whether this watts refers only to the laptop, or it means that the external speaker should also be 45 watts? Would anybody know?

The truth of the matter is the more I read about it the more confused I get. If anyone knows how to choose the watts in a simple laptop speaker, I'd be most grateful! :)
