Firefox Homepage change

When I logon to our corporate network, it changes the Firefox homepage on my laptop (XP). Is there any way that I can prevent this? Is there any software that will protect my homepage setting?
Thanks for the help.

An easy way around this remote server Browser settings homepage from displaying is by creating a shortcut on your Desktop with say http://www.google.com/ as the location.
Then instead of clicking on your standard Firefox icon, just double click on the new shortcut, Google will then open ;)

Thanks for the suggestion.

Since posting this, I found the solution on another website. I have an IBM laptop and IBM has Access Connection Settings in their ThinkVantage which over-rides your homepage setting in Firefox. So I just had to uncheck the over-ride option and the problem is fixed.

I appreciate your help. Thanks.
