That's all I need and after you use it, I'll need MBRCheck log, as described in my reply # 19.
I'm deleting the logs, you just posted.

broni, just tried burning the cd twice.when i get into the ntbr menu the program terminates itself asking me to reboot my pc just after i hit enter to choose english.

For now, don't pay attention to AVG.
Our main goal right now is to cure your MBR.

Can you use another computer to burn that CD?

Well, we have no other option here.
You have to retry, or visit a friend/family member to burn that CD successfully.

you're absolutely right, the guy was completely useless...no joke. But I just went ahead and backed up all my files and repaired it to factory specs,no insult to you guys but I was having such a hard time burning that file to disc I just didn't know what my other options were so I went to the complete extreme, most of my files are now saved and the pc seems to be running smoothly but if it's ok with you,I've redownloaded all the programs that you've listed and will be running all the scans over again step by step just to make sure that the mbr is no longer infected.

If you restored to factory settings, you don't have to worry about MBR.
Thanks for posting back though :)

I'll still run it just for peace of mind and please let me know.I was always curious about windows 7,when you use system restore on a pc that has the infected MBR will the MBR still be infected afterward or does it fix itself with system restore?

fantastic,i'm almost completely setup the way i was before this little disaster.I can't believe I paid a so called "technician" $75 for him to tell me he couldn't do something that I could in as little as 5 hours as a complete noob.
