Hello,

I just completed making a new profile in Outlook 2003. I have to do this about twice a year because Outlook just slows down.

My problem is the password. As usual, I entered the password which was hidden in *** and then I check to remember the password. I click test the connection and it works fine.

However, when the automatic send and receive, every 30 minutes by my choice, occurs it asked for my password. The field is blank so I type it in and click to have it remembered in the list of password. 30 minutes later the same box asking for my password appears.

If you know how to make the password permanent I would certainly appreciate your sharing.

Thank you

Is this for an exchange account? I believe by default, the option to require logging in is unchecked. Perhaps you change the default setting while setting up your account? Tools > Account Settings > Email

The second possibility is your exchange admin has required Outlook clients to login manually regardless of settings. You should only have to do this once though, each time you open Outlook.

Maybe this can help:
