I accidently posted this without explaining my issues nor posting properly. I built a computer on my own and sometimes but rarely my firefox will unexpectedly crash. But most of all when I play games, sometimes I will be able to play it for quite some time until it will eventually crash

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
8GB RAM DDR3
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz x4 ~3401MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard
750W Power Supply

my drivers and bios are up to date. I brought it to a tech shop to get a clean install of my system and they discounted me mentioning that firefox would randomly crash at times and that he thinks it could be my ssd. Currently waiting for a new one to come in but if the ssd is not the problem I don't want to change it.

sorry for incorrectly posting this topic. I meant to attach the log thing but made a mistake and I don't know how to delete this topic so I could repost it in a easier fashion.

The SSD needs to be installed on a SATA 3 port and the bios needs to have the SSD configured as AHCI... If it is set as IDE, you will have to reformat and re-install Windows with AHCI enabled

Well I really hope all my hardware is fine. checked that ssd is set to AHCI, but its in a sata 2 port. Gonna go open up the case and switch the ssd port and see whats happens next

Game crashed again. then after I closed program I got a BSOD. I have a ssd and hdd. My SSD has the os loaded onto it. The games I put on so far are on the HDD (1TB). Could it be a issue between the ssd and hdd?

Some of the BSOD erros ive been getting are:

IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
Memory Management
System service exemption

lately ive mostly been only getting the Memory Management BSOD

Well after that I realized my hdd wasn't in a sata3 port also so I switched that. Played game n worked fine, but when I got into a loading screen my game froze. I'm assuming it was a connectivity issue with the host. Gonna try again later n see what happens

Yes they are both set to AHCI, thanks for your help, gonna turn my CPU on later n hope for the best. Glad I didn't end up purchasing another ssd.

Well when I taught everything was going well my game closed, was able to play for quite awhile tho like 30 mins. Then my cpu BSOD with the system service exemption error.

this is the error log from when it closed:

do u think it could be my GPU? I really hope not if it is. So frustrating to have spent all this money on building my first computer only for it to be unable to do what I bought it for. Play games. Feel like I wasted $1500.

thanks if your able to figure out the problem. this forum seems to be more helpful than the tech shop I went to. Let me know if u need any other information

Noticed on the homepage of this site that borderlands 2 (the game thats having problems with my cpu) runs on directx9. Currently downloading and gonna install. Fingers crossed again.

Well installed directx9 and now idk if its causing the problem now, but I can't even launch borderlands 2 anymore. Don't know how to uninstall directx9. Then at one point my firefox kept crashing constantly. I don't know what to do already

This is what im constantly getting running world of warcraft

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Program: D:\WoW\World of Warcraft\WoW-64.exe

The instruction at "0x00000001402AD4A4" referenced memory at "0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF".
The memory could not be "read".

it was running fine today. I don't know if its because of directx9 or maybe because I am on skype while playing

You should have DX11 installed in Windows 7. Make sure Windows is fully updated by running Windows Update manually from the all programs menu. Run it until no more updates are found, then run it again

Ran it. Tried installing updates. Updates failed to install. Looked up error and clicked on link to send me to microsoft page to download and install a hot fix. Hot fix failed to install. Did a system restore, computer restarted. Checked updates which it said windows is up to date. Clicked on "check for updates". Waiting for the past 10 minutes for computer to check for updates and still waiting. Is that normal?

Well finally got updates installing. but now its been stuck on 57% for a very long time. Almost stop installation, but I'll be as patient as I can be and hope it completes.
