I've been getting a lot of popups since last night. I found getpack26.exe and getmodule32.exe, and clicked fix on hijackthis, but there are still many popups. Help!

Hi Pen,
Welcome to Techspot

Please follow my exact instructions.

1, you are infected with Viewpoint. Allthough its not considered bad it usually installs without your prior notice.

Download Viewpoint killer from here

Unzipp and run and follow the instructions

Then to check,
1) Right-click on the clock in your taskbar and choose Task Manager
2) Click on the Processes tab and search for VIEWMGR.EXE, if its found, click on it and then click End Task to close it
3) Click on Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs
4) Uninstall any of the following programs associated with Viewpoint

* Viewpoint Manager
* Viewpoint Media Player
* Viewpoint Toolbar

5) Close the Add/Remove Programs and Control Panel
6) Restart your computer

2, If you dont use it Unistall Active Desktop Calander.

Go to Start>My computer>Add + remove programs and then remove
ADC or active desktop calander entries

3,
Download malwarebytes from here

Install it to the default location

Follow my user instructions from here

4,
Download and run SDfix from here

Then follow the insturctions HERE

Then post a reply with:

A FRESH hijack this log
Malwarebytes log
the SDfix log

Good,

You had an infection called Gadcom on there which was messing things up.

Now looking at your Malwarebytes log you didn't clean those infections thus the long line of No action taken!

Rescan with malwarebytes and remove the infections:
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Then re scan with Hijack this and create a fresh log for me to check to be on the safe side.

Then when you have posted the new log we will do some house cleaning and we will be done :D

Good all of that looks clean :)

Now download and install OTclean it from here

Run it and follow the instructions. This will remove some of the tools we have used.

Then i would advise on downloading and installing CCleaner from here

Run it and follow these instructions

This will clean your PC and remove any junk. I would run that once a month to give your PC a sort out.

After that keep scanning with Superantispyware once every 2 or 3 weeks and create a new topic if you need more help :)
