Played around with it for a few minutes, the lego blocks are limited. Great time killer though.

    Minecraft anyone?

If I wasn't interested 5 years ago, I'm sure I will not be interested now.

Just what I've always wanted, to play with virtual Lego instead of the actual Lego I already have, which I haven't touched in 15 years. Still, if it's free I can't see this as a bad thing. Might be useful if your trying to visualize something for a friend, but then there's probably better solutions already out there.

The Lego Digital Designer software has been around for years, My son and I used to build some wild creations with it (and the block set was much more complete, including Technic and specialized blocks). At one point, you could design something and hit a button to have the kit to build your creation priced and shipped... Not sure if it still does that or not.

Anyhow, this looks an awful lot like they just simplified and streamlined an app version of LDD for Chrome. Very cool to be able to build on top of real world scenery and locations.

If you want to play with LDD (it's free), it can be found here:
