Google Pixel XL Review: Nexus is dead, long live Pixel

Not really, just like in the case of Apple the market rules don't work for them (cause of fanboys which are gonna ignore the competition). They have a lot of "customers" and I heard you have to wait more than one month for your device to arrive (assuming you ordered a pixel). It is sad, because now we have sheeple in the Android ecosystem too - doesn't matter that the product is overpriced, crap design, and no innovation whatsoever. Pixel is an uninspired attempt at iphone 7 marketing really (although it offers less features than the iphone).
But look at the iPhone 6 prices now. I read it on somewhere, Apple plans to reduce its pricing in lieu of the latest launch.

and im perfectly fine with people wanting to use it, and I probably misspoke there - I just prefer the option to not. I never use any sort of automation on my phone so to me it just is invasive by nature; I understand it is quite useful to some people
I can see how it is perceived as invasive. Sometimes Google Now can be downright spooky when it makes a suggestion or pulls out a card you find value in but have no idea how it knew to. I have Android using friends who create an account only for their phones and never use Mail, search, etc. for those same concerns of invasive advertising.

Perhaps you were referring to the "6s" model and not the "6?" I don't think that Apple sells the 6 anymore, but I have been wrong.

The "6s" dropped in price $100 USD and they doubled the memory on the base (from 16GB to 32GB). I'd still suggest getting the "7" since it's $100 more expensive, also has 32GB and is the newest model.

Lots of people that are not into IT find the pure Android harder to use than a HTC or Samsung. This is purely based on my experience - they were not fanboys, they just hated that pure interface and also the one on the Motorola Moto G3, Moto E which is similar to one on the Nexus.

I was always chasing the phone with the best camera on the market - that is why I got Note 4 back in its glory days. Now, seeing that Pixel has the best one I am not tempted to buy it, since I hate it's design, it is too expensive , has no card slot. Since they aligned the price close to iPhone, I would also expect the software support to have a life cycle like on iPhone - around 4 years, not around 2 years as it was for the Nexus line.

For the record ... Pixel is HTC junk.

Yes, I know HTC made Pixel and Pixel XL. It might be HTC junk but it does not have the HTC Sense interface. I was referring that they like more TouchWiz by Samsung and HTC Sense interfaces rather than pure Android - which they find difficult to use. I noticed that the majority of people working in IT like pure Android, while others prefer skinned versions.

I'd be careful grouping IT professionals like that.

Well impressive review I have to say there. Would be nice if you added the ZTE MAX Pro as comparison. But since I own that and the LG G3 kinda get the jest of them So this one has software lite buttons or is that hardware base for navigation buttons. ZTE has hardware lite navigation buttons where the LG G3, G4, K7, K10 seem to be all based on software. This design looks ok to me not about the design it's about how well it functions in daily usage. I needed a 6.0 / 8 core enough storage more than 128 GB / 256 GB. Fast display software not that important as all the software is still in work-in-progress mode. When it comes to Android. Google Pixel looks promising the price is keep me away though. I never go to spend $500 plus for smart phone again not after LG G-Series experience I had.
