So i was messing with my Dsl settings and afterward it started to reboot then said this "you may need to Reconfigure your pc's ip address to match your new settings" does anyone know what this means. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Can you provide a bit more details? As if you were describing the situation to a person who couldn't see.

My initial guesses are that you were in a network configuration page of a DSL Modem or Router, and the page has a standard warning to inform you that if you make changes you might need to update your PC to match the new settings.

If everything appears to be working correctly, then the message was only informative (sort of covering the DSL Router's behind) and you don't have to do anything.

Turned my computer back on today and everything seems to be working correctly. thanks for the help.
