This setup would crash with their 1200 watt Antec PSU, and they ended up having to use a 1.5KW silverstone PSU- all for a 3% performance gain over 3-way SLI.

Driver issues by the looks of it.
Scaling from 1 > 2 > 3 GPU's looks pretty good in percentage terms. If adding a fourth card to the equation produces lower fps rates than with three cards then it's pretty safe to assume that it's driver related. Unsurprising since this quad SLI is hardly mainstream and previous incarnations of quad (GTX 295, 9800GX2, 7950GX2) have had more than their fair share of driver bugs.

Nice implementation of "Insane" though 7.5/10
(Losing points for the V8 CPU cooler. An SR2 board with X5680's would have been icing on the cake- as would waterblocks, a nice OC and multiple PSU's/cooling loops).
