Put the CD in the optical drive that is set in the BIOS as first boot device. Then shutdown. Restart from a cold boot, and VISTA should do the rest.

the guy from ibuypower.com said i shud just buy the pc with vista already installed cuz u would have to know computers well to install vista or any other OS with a non bootable hardrive

There's no such thing as a non-bootable hard drive. That guy in the store needs to go learn about computers before he presumes to teach others. All you have to do to boot off a hard drive which is not the standard one is select it in the BIOS. Then put the Vista disc in, boot up, and install. In fact, I believe you may be able to just put the Vista disc in, you might not even have to change the BIOS.

Salesman? You are talking to a salesman? He doesn't make enough money to even own a computer, let along have the noggin to use one.
Follow MetalX, not a salesman at an online computer store.
