How to accesses the windows recovery environment

I have been having problems booting into windows from sleep mode. The screen goes black on the windows splash screen. I think some windows files are bad after the computer gone to sleep and power gone out in the house.

When you turn the computer on you press F-8 to get into safe mode?

what key allows you to access the BIOS or windows recovery environment?

Yes, at startup, F8 allows access to safe mode.

For BIOS access, it depends on you motherbord. It's usually F2 or DEL.
