How to dual load XP and Windows 7 on seperate hard drives

I recently purchased a sata hard drive and installed windows 7on it, i also have an IDE hard drive which i reinstalled xp on after deleating it due to a virus. I need step by step guidance to dual load them on my machine.

Desktop or laptop. What brand and model of computer are they on, and was the computer originally configured for SATA or EIDE?
This may appear to be a great more difficult, depending on the configuration of the computer... first we need to know brand and model, or configuration.
