How to edit program name

I want to rename some program to my own name, I see some one edit to they own name.
Can you give me some guide line and program?

I dont have a Windows PC in front of me right now, but I can tell you from memory, so I may be mistaken. Right click the Program, go to properties. I think it is the first tab that you can edit the name if I am not mistaken. Tell me if I am wrong.

but for this point I mean that they can change icon, process name,... and setup file to make they own back ground when set up?

Well, it has to be an open source program in order to edit it. No one just hands out their source code.
