How to install a zip package?

I have windows xp home on a msi-7401. I have downloaded a RAID controller driver and I can unzip it but I can't install it manually. I have uninstalled the old driver because of error 28. I simply don't know the process of taking an unzipped driver to the installation point. The device manager won't let me pull it up from the folder it's in. What to do? Tammie

Is this the motherboard you have and the download location of which you found the driver?

• Intel Platform - Socket 478 (Intel P4) - PM8M-V

Did you download:

1. VIA PIDE/SATA RAID Drivers & Utility?
2. VIA VT8237(R) SATA RAID Driver (For floppy driver)?

Please note, I don't have experience with raid drivers but trying to help anyway. If you have the correct driver Device Manager (as you mentioned trying) should allow you to navigate the drivers location for installation.

I had drivers in zipped pkg but all is good now. Thanks for all the help and I appreciate all of you there! Tammie
