HP 513x - want to use for parts

I have this older computer and want to maybe use the motherboard for a new chip and os?

go for it if all parts are in working condition. i cant find much on the motherboard, its a FIC AM 35 Motherboard and the fastest CPU would be the Athlon XP 2100+ and the max ram is 2 gigs or if you only want 1 gig of ram

Great info and I'll definitely buy that particular chip. Would I need any extra fans? As you probably have gathered I'm new at this . . . built one a few years ago so decided to try it again.

you might need a new heatsink and some Thermal Compound / Grease
