So who works in the computer hardware industry?

I know that Etherium miners are the reason for the high prices on Video cards. I get that. Why in the hell can't wholesalers like EVGA (which sells to the public) just take my damn money up front ..build just one extra..just one more card and ship it with the other 5000 they make per week and ship me a damn card?

Why can't these places which show on their website AND sell to the public directly simply take orders and money and ship when they make the cards?

Can ANYONE in this industry explain to me why this is not possible?

Because to manufacture card they need GPU. And unless AMD/Nvidia supplies them that "extra" GPU, they cannot make "extra" video card either.

And if you could pre-order so could the miners. If the miners could pre-order (which they probably do somehow) the backlogs would be huge.
