I think my computer could have a virus

That didn't work. I followed those steps exactly and then that program did not find anything wrong.

Should I just uninstall all my anti-virus programs and then reinstall them in safe mode? What do I do next?

All my software still won't update the databases. They are getting blocked/terminated and my firewall (comodo) still does not recognize firefox.exe or itunes.exe.... ugh

By the way do your best to remove Norton, and install and scan with Avira Antivirus before you do create your own thread.
