Inactive IE not responding, cpu usage 100%

Hi

PC still running slowly, and hard drive is chattering away constantly.
Loaded IE and it took 94seconds before a white, empty IE window appeared, another 142 seconds before actual content was visible. Clicked to Login to Techspot.com, entered my username and password and screen froze, then said Not Responding. Had to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close window. What else should I do?

The folder C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\My Documents\Downloads\Techspot 09-10\ was created to house the downloads required in your 8 step initial routine. Hope this helps.
