Iexpore.exe running and slowing everything down

  1. Hello - This is my first post here and I've come for help. I am not very computer literate, I will do my best to describe my problem.

iexplore.exe is running and running, making everything else very slow or not responsive until this stops running. This started about one week ago. Then after 2-3 days, it seemed to clear up and stop for about 2 days, now it's running again.

I would appreciate your help with this. Thank you so much!
