Installation problem in Age of Empires 3, Error 1305

Hi ppl,
need a little help from all of you. I am using Windows 7 and was trying to install age of empires 3 on my machine. but it shows an "Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Program Files\Microsoft GameAge of EmpiresIII\art\art3.bar. Verify that the file exists ans that you can access it."
how do i get rid of this?

I am using Windows 7 and was trying to install age of empires 3 on my machine.

Can you clarify if you are trying to actually install the game or are you trying to open the game and play it?

w7 is still a bit hard to play games on that why im waiting for a service pack before installing it on my pc XD

I have Windows 7 64 bit and had no problem at all installing Age of Empires III...

Try running the installer/autorun from the dvd as an administrator. If It doesn't work, disable UAC from the Control Panel -- User Account Control.

If you can't manage to get it working, it could be a problem with the dvd media itself (dirty or scratched?) or with the dvd reader. In this case, a solution could be making a backup image of the dvds with a program like Alcohol and then mounting them.
