iPhone 11 will warn users if they install a non-genuine display after repair

I like this. Apple are making sure that phones are repaired properly using genuine parts. It’s a form of quality control and is one of the reasons why Apple is taking a dump on anything running Android right now.

Look at a 2 year old iPhone compared to a 2 year old Samsung flagship, the iPhone will sell for twice as much, have the latest updates and still probably be beating today’s android phones in benchmark tests. Things like this help ensure iPhones keep their value and performance.

I guess people are annoyed at Apple because of the price. Well guess what, you don’t have to buy it. There are scores of cheap plasticky Android devices out there’s go buy one of those and please don’t use it to write comments bitching about iPhones or other things you can’t afford.

Well, here we have it. Another Apple drone using the "you can't afford it" card. Trust me, I can afford an iPhone, I actually own a Galaxy S10+ that I bought since day 1. That's a $1k phone just like any iPhone in the current lineup.

If my phone happened to be damaged in any way, I can easily purchase parts directly from Samsung or a third party and perform the repairs myself. You can't purchase directly from crApple. You have to go through a "certified" repair location and even then, Apple is just now allowing some of their replacement components to be sold to "certified" repair shops. So that means that you'd have to either pay an independent "certified" repair shop to repair your phone on top of paying for the part or have them send it to crApple and hope that you don't lose your data. You better believe they are going to markup the cost of that part to make profit on it.

Maybe you can go to a crApple store and seek help from the "Genius Bar." Well, get ready to shell out money for a whole new phone because they are so incompetent, they will intentionally screw something up just to convince you to go that route. But you'll buy into it because you're naive and "can afford it."

As many have said, third party repairs with aftermarket components or self performed repairs do not affect the value of the phones. You wanna know what does? People buying into the bullshit from crApple and thinking crApple = status.

In the end, Apple is always behind the curve in features, aside from Face ID which will come to android phones soon enough. Everything else? Android is doing it first. You see that the iPhone 11 Pro has 3 cameras right? well, guess what? My S10+ has 3 rear cameras and 2 front cameras... that is nothing new! Other phones have had that setup for a while now. Samsung has the fold now, albeit it's a first gen device thus not that great, and crApple has already shown interest in copying the idea. You can rest assured that whenever crApple releases their own version, it will be priced equally if not more than the Galaxy Fold.

Oh and one last note, android is not far from equaling iPhone in performance. In fact, only off by maybe 4% on average when comparing the 855 vs the A12. Soon we will be able to compare the 865 vs the A13 and that will close the gap even further. So that argument is no longer valid.

Why is anyone defending apple at this point. They proven themselves to be anti consumer, they'd rather the iPhones couldn't be resold. I have expect them to start licensing ios to the original owner only and requiring any new apple ids to require a software license purchase.
