Is there a way to bypass an administrative password on Dell computers?

I recently bought a storage unit that contained a laptop but it has an administrative password and I cant get into it. The computer has a guest login but when I try to do anything important it asks for the administrative password. The computer has a lot of good programs that I dont want to have to erase by doing a factory reset so if someone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

You can pull the files through Common Prompt using a External Hard drive. Do you know the XCopy method?

I believe if hes familiar with the use of Kali Linux you can setup a live USB and brute force the password from Kali with metasploit or any other program of your choice without breaking or moving anything. Depends on the operating system I believe up to Windows 7 is cracked.
