Is this a safe player?

I had another flv player some time ago by Martin something I can't remember the name, but when it came time to update it,it took me here http://applian.com/flvplayer/
I did download it at one point,but for reasons I don't remember, I got rid of it. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

You might want to stay away from the FLV Player and the frequently accompanying Freecorder software. The home site represents it as:

Recommended: Get FLV Player with Freecorder 6. ... for use in circumventing copy protection mechanisms or for making illegal copies of copyrighted content.

Both of them have dirty toolbars bundled with them. I don't know whether you get chance to skip the toolbar as in maybe a Custom install.
