Are you removing quicktime aswell as Itunes, when you try to reinstall.

You need to remove both of them, as Itunes will install it again.

Regards Jase :)

Yes, I am removing that. Heck... Just to be on the safe side... I've been removing everything Apple related. Such as the Apple Updater.

Make a new admin user account, then log on with that user and try to install Itunes, it may or may not work.

TheJediSlayer:

I`ve just taken a look at your HJT log and your system is infected with malware. Whether this is the source of your problems, I don`t know, but it definitely needs sorting.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into a new thread in our security and the web forum, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan.

Regards Howard :)

Alright, I made a new admin accounted, and the same errors as before appeared. Oh. I will take a look into it, Howard. Thank-you.

Ok mate.

Yes, i thought there was malware on your system thats why i told you to delete that cpbrkpie Control.

Anyway Howard will sought it you, as he is a genius in the S&W forum.

Regards Jase :)

Just a thought, but what if I changed the directory in which the iTunes.exe installs into? Rather than C:\\Program Files\iTunes... Something like C:\\Program Files\Itunes2

It's worth a try at this stage lol.

But do what Howard as asked, and post them logs in the S&W forum, and they will get dealt with.

Regards Jase :)

TheJediSlayer:

I`m not saying it is, but if your problem is caused by malware, messing aorund with directories aint going make much difference.

Follow the instructions I gave you and let`s get rid of the malware, then we`ll see where we are as regards your initial problem.

Regards Howard :)

File Not Showing Up

Hello, I recently did a scan on my family computer using AVG Anti-Virus software. It detected a bunch of trojan virus in a folder that is: C://Uploads with a bunch of trojan horses. However, there are apparently so many detected trojan horses, that AVG freezes up while trying to process my request to see them in it's virus vault. I can't seem to find the file in question either... So I can just manually delete it. I've checked to make sure that the files aren't being hidden, and they aren't. I'm unsure of how to eradicate this file, because I can't seem to get to it.. Any help would be appreciated.

Alright, I know it's been awhile since I've updated you guys on my family PC. Been trying to get as much crap off and trying to fix the PC errors as much as I can. Anyways, I will post the HJT log here, and now there's a new problem. Now, the iTunes installer won't attempt to install. It just simply goes to a window saying that there were some errors etc.

Threads merged. Just follow the instructions and post the log files.

Your system is infected with malware.

Follow the instructions I gave you in my post#29 and post all the requested log files.

Regards Howard :)
