iTunes update 12.12.6 Still No iPod support

I sent a snail-mail letter to Apple about ensuring iPod support for iTunes on Win10/11 rigs.

iTunes does NOT see my iPod because the Win10/11 Registry has no entry designating an iPod as an AppleUSB device.
In my old Win7Pro 64bit rig, with retries, I COULD get iTunes to see my iPod.

I discovered this because a recent WinUpdate installed an "AppleUSB device."

Found out how! 👍
Fist I looked at the USB icon in the Notification Tray and it DID show my iPod as an AppleUSB device.

In File Explorer I selected that drive and there was a Synchronize option, use that and my iPod did sync.

The only problem my iPod did NOT show up in iTunes/Devices. The question is why? Any ideas?
