Keyboard freezes at boot loader

2nd time building a computer, got everything together and turned it on, nice sound of actually working . . .atleast I thought.

Asks to press Esc or Delete to get into either setup or boot menu, but the keyboard acts like its frozen. Tried a USB and a PS/2 keyboard and same thing happens with both. Keyboards light up and can hit the caps lock, scroll lock and num lock all you want and the lights will respond but once it recognizes everything it freezes. I can get to the boot menu by hitting the power button once or twice but still unable to use the keyboard. All help is appreciated.

Locate your Motherboard manual, and reset CMOS on the Motherboard
Sometimes it'll be shorting two pins, or temporarily removing the CMOS battery.
