If you've been feeling that Lenovo's ThinkPad line is a bit crowded, you're not alone. The company has decided to dismiss the X301, one of its most critically acclaimed products, to focus on the T410s, a super-thin version of the already thin-and-light T series.

According to marketing director Wang Lipin, having both products no longer makes sense. The T410s is able to provide similar features and better hardware, all while costing less than the X301. A quick look at the website makes the logic easy to follow.

The price gap between the two systems is nearly $1,000 despite the fact that the T series has a Core i5 processor. The X301 is forced to get by with an Intel Core 2 Duo clocked at 1.4GHz. Still, it will be sad to see one of today's most portable notebook offerings sail into the sunset.

Permalink to story.

https://www.techspot.com/news/39661-lenovo-discontinuing-x300-series-to-focus-on-t400.html
