If a builder would get a 8400 or 8700 CFL CPU on a z370 motherboard, could the higher frequency memory such as 3200 be used or would it be locked at 2666 ? Thanks.

According to the big blue monster, xmp is only to be used on "k" processors. Well that just stinks!
