Main laptop keyboard not working

Am needing help if possible. I have a toshiba satellite skullcandy. The keyboard works when I turn on to put in my passwords only.. once the main pages are open, it doesnt work.. I have to run off the one that pops up on my screen... it does the trick but I need to fix this... anyone have any idea... again no buttons work
