Major difference between USB 2.0 and 3.0 flash drives?

I am looking to buy a flash drive, I have USB3 on my pc and i have seen some flashdrives that are USB3, is there a major difference between USB2 and USB3?

All USBx are downward compatible with USB(x-1) so go ahead
