Making a computer for the first time, need some tips

All boards will have negative reviews, shipping Mobos is a little more iffy then other components. The other one seems fine, but the gigabyte seems fine too. Nothing terribly different-which color do you like more?

Well the black on the asrock matches my gpu and case, but one person who reviewed the asrock said that his corsair vengeance ram did not work with it so I'm getting the gigabyte just in case. I have the corsair vengeance.
I'm full of questions and I have another, Is the option to get a warranty on newegg the manufacturers warranty or just a one through newegg? If I don't get that warranty will I still have a warranty from the manufacturer?

You can get it just in case, just that theres no reason for his ram NOT to work. he probably had some wierd defect. But go ahead and get the gigabyte, doesnt really matter.
If you dont get the newegg warranty, you still have the manufacturers warranty, I believe the newegg one begins after the manufacturer one ends. (once again, dont quote me on that ) but I do KNOW that the manufacturers warranty is separate from neweggs somehow.

So Ill still have the manufacturers warranty though? Just want to make sure. Also Blkfix1 said that I just need the demensions of the heatsink and the case to see if the noctua will fit. Wouldn't I need the demensions of the other parts too?

Yes you will. You wont really need the dimensions of other parts, the only concern would be that the heatsink might be too tall, meaning it would stick out the side of your case and you couldnt get the side back on.
