Malwarebytes went bad again

Hi @DavidBailey N/P. I'm sure you know what you're doing, so I'll bow out now, and wait to hear how things go. MBAM is causing a lot of grief for windows users. Hopefully they will get it straighten out soon. LOL

Hi There are just a handful of us here on Techspot that answer these kind of threads. As long as we all get along and work as a team, it will be a good thing and Techspot will get even stronger and the membership will grow. I hope I can be a part of it.;):D
You all are appreciated.

I appreciate your advice.
I reinstalled MBAM & updated it.
I did not lose my internet connection.

But I still get this message---

Even so it seems like Avast gets updated---

I hope things don't get worse.

Hi Friend. Why not update to W10? Then use Windows Defender and MBAM Pro in real time? I'm not having any problems after updating MBAM. Yes the MBAM update drove me crazy for awhile, but I'm thinking all is well in Okie land tonight. You are doing a great job on the forum and you are appreciated.

I'll make a new Macrium image now. :)
I love my Macrium Reflect. I made a image yesterday. Macrium is the best thing sense bottoms on a shirt. Macrium has bailed me out more times then I can remember. I wish I could get the whole computer world to use a 3rd party image program like Macrium, and then they would be fearless like me.:D

David that is perfect while I do not believe that Avast and Mbam cannot coexist I see no reason to use Avast as WD is more effective against today's problems so if you have an image file from before you installed Avast that is perfect solution friend, go for it.
When you see how much trouble you will have removing Avast you will realize why you should not be installing it at all. To remove Avast you need to use their tool then Revo or Wise uninstaller and then after all that do a search in the registry for anything "Avast" and only then will you be able to enable Windows Defender so you have the perfect solution which is to go back using that image file to before Avast was installed and your system will thank you for that and you will be better protected against today's problems IMHO. I have removed Avast about 5 times from client systems in the last 2 months and it took me hours and hours each time to get every last tentacle out to be able to enable WD, that is how I know.

I don't have an image from before I installed Avast. :(
I said that in an earlier post.

When I uninstall Avast I lose my internet connection.
I used their tool & Revo Pro.
Sometime in the future I intend to reinstall W10 Pro not keeping anything.
Fresh start.
I can live with things the way they are for now.
I researched Avast & found all versions get the same virus definition updates.
I can keep it updated without updating the program itself.

My W10 Pro digital license is tied to my Microsoft Account so I'm good to go any time I want to reinstall it. :)
