I've searched around the forums and tried a couple of the programs.
What I've done. Original computer and my laptop does not recognize HD. Checked it over on Computer manager and says drive is not initialized.
I connected the Maxtor 3200 HD to another comp and the drive shows up on Explorer but it says "Disc structure is corrupted and unreadable". On the computer manager it says its "healthy(active)".
I've checked it over with VirtualLab Data Recovery and it encountered errors on certain sectors. "request cannot be performed because of an I/O device error."
Am I even using the right programs to check this over or is this HD gone? Any other ways to try to fix this or recover the files?
Are there services to send the HD to recover the files?
