Microphone not working right

Hi my microphone is not working right with ventrillo, I cant find any help on there website. I am running vista. I have a nividia sound card. Is what its doing is when I talk in my mic I makes a low crackle for 1-3s and drops out. I have 2 mics and they do the same thing.
